GMK Bento

Technical characteristics
Inspired by the Japanese culture, and the iconic/typical home-packed meal called 'Bento (弁当)
Creating GMK Bentō meant translating the philosophy behind Japanese bento culture into keyboard design. These aren't just lunch boxes, they're expressions of care, attention to detail, and aesthetic harmony that I wanted to capture.
The color scheme speaks to comfort and tradition. Warm cream used as base color evokes the rice that anchors every meal, the salmon red provides a pop of energy and liveliness, while deep teal blue draws from centuries of Japanese indigo craftsmanship. I believe colors should tell stories, and these hues whisper of home kitchens and careful hands preparing something special.
In addition to the color scheme, the set features minimalistic icons inspired by Japanese bento boxes.
The revival base kit was introduced in this second round.
