My utilitarian methodology behind timeless but industry inspired color choices and adaptable iconography that allows users to arrange keys based on personal habits.

Cartridge is a keycap set that draws inspiration from retro gaming aesthetics while maintaining a modern, clean approach to design. The set features a light gray foundation with strategic use of purple and orange accent colors that create visual hierarchy and functional distinction across the layout.

I wanted the typography to feel clean and readable, similar to the industrial approach I used in MT3 Operator. The legends maintain excellent contrast against both the light gray base and colored accent keys. I chose to keep the font treatment consistent across all keys to maintain visual unity.

The name "Cartridge" reflects both the gaming inspiration and the modular nature of keycap sets themselves. I liked the idea that keycaps are like cartridges you can swap in and out to change your keyboard's personality.
